Quickoffice 6.0 enables remote file access and bolsters enterprise document security on S60 smartphones
It enables users to remotely access, browse and open files stored inInternet cloud services, such as Apple’s MobileMe iDisk, FilesAnywhereand Box.net, etc. The software also allows access to files on corporatedrives and servers, including Microsoft™ SharePoint™.
In addition, the 6.0 release includes new security featuresforusingencrypted and password-protected Word and Excel documents.Withtheseadditions, Quickoffice continues to drivemobileprofessionalproductivity to new levels. Users now haveunprecedenteddocumentaccess, reducing the need to store files on thephone whileincreasingsecurity to protect documents stored locally.
Quickoffice 6.0 also adds several other new features, includingafilemanager that handles all file types and support foropening,editingand saving back to Zip files. In addition, Quickofficeenablesusers toview charts in Office 2007 Excel spreadsheetsincludingreal-timerecalculation. The software suite is optimized forviewing andediting,and includes superior document ’round-trip’capabilities toretain fileformatting and maintain data integrity.Quickoffice has alsoupdatedits Adobe Mobile Reader for S60 with thelatest Adobe engine,providingfaster response and better handling ofcomplex PDF documents.
